NRC Next blog

Read the nrc.next news blog straight on your mobile.

On the nextblog the nrc.next editorial staff guides you through the high lights of the web, the picture editorial staff will show you the most impressive news photo’s and the columnists will place there best pieces. With this application you can follow them all and read other peoples opinion.

Both the iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad applications have been developed by CrystalMinds. After installing a respected JSON API plugin on their WordPress, CrystalMinds had access to all the content needed to build this application. This approach has resulted in a minimal impact on the IT resources of nrc.next.

The concept and it’s design have been done by Peter Evers and Mark Visbeek. CrystalMinds was responsible for developing both applications within three weeks. But it is not the only remarkable thing that can be said about this application. It integrates the social media like never been done before on an iOS application, the user experience is almost exactly the same as sending a standard e-mail.

With only a small effort CrystalMinds was able to integrate nrc.next’s advertisement platform in the application.
